MR Museum - Stone City

This experimental Mixed Reality project brings archaeological and cultural fragments from different times and places into a contemporary outdoor setting. Digitally captured stone sculptures and architectural elements were re-staged in the courtyard of Bühne im Hof in St. Pölten, allowing them to be experienced beyond the traditional museum environment.

For the spatial planning, the courtyard was first 3D-scanned with KIRI Engine. The project became a play between historical objects and a present-day site, between physical space and digital exhibition — and an experiment with new ways of experiencing a museum in public space.
