MR Lost Architecture
Veliki Preslav, Bulgaria | 2026
Created as part of my Master’s thesis in Digital Design at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, this Mixed Reality experience builds upon the preserved ruins and existing physical reconstructions of the Round Church in Veliki Preslav, one of the most significant monuments of the medieval Bulgarian Empire.
The digital reconstruction visualises the building’s missing architectural elements based on one of the most widely accepted archaeological hypotheses about its original appearance. Visitors were invited to take an immersive “walk through the past” while still maintaining a visual connection to the authentic remains and the monument as it exists today.
